Services of the PASS

POSITIVE AWARENESS SERVICE SOCIETY (PASS), a registered voluntary organization comes under the Society Registration Act, Registration number: 111/1995. It is a non-profit making service organization committee for the empowerment of rural asset less voiceless and powerless people from the year 1995. From the date of its inception, PASS is meaningfully contributing for the empowerment of the rural AND TRIBE poor people in Arni and polur-block of Tiruvannamalai District.
Unit of pass:
We have one unit, which is called St.Xavier’s medical academy. Its Main Aim is to train the educated girls for their employment and fulfill the medical need of their own community.
Vision:
Serve to the underserved.
Mission:
To Provide services to the Rural community to generate social awareness to promote their social status from their traditional backwardness through their participation in the decision making , action plan and involvements by giving special preferences to women ,children and youth.
Aims and objectives:
1) To attain the self sufficiency among the people by educating them to have basic amenities such as shelter and food.
2) To raise the life style of children by educating them.
3) To undertake health by giving emphasis to preventive and promote health care and environment.
4) To initiate and organize social welfare activities in order to improve their socio economic status of the people.
5) In order to veer the inferiority complex of the most vulnerable people.
6) To change the behavior of the youngsters and built their future.
7) To encourage the women by motivating them to form a unit and promote saving habits.
Activities:
1. Conducting Paramedical Courses i.e., DMLT, DNA for dalits, Widows , handicapped and Srilankan Refugees.
2. vocational (Computer) Training program to poor educated  women.
2. Awareness generation program for the rural women, Formation of self help groups
3. Environmental campaigns and Meetings to youth and General Public's.
4. Integrated child development programs
5. Sanitary latrines to the poor people
6. Leadership trainings
7. Health awareness programs and village visits with our paramedical students.
8. Service to the tribe people of Jawathu hills for their health and well being.
